Conical Silos

OBIAL cone silos are multi-purpose; the cone is manufactured according to the product to be stored in it, and the cone degrees vary between 45 - 65 depending on the product flow characteristics. Conical silos can also be used in the design that depends on different types of grains in one such as livestock and poultry farms, feed and flour factories, etc.; They are also easy to use for temporary weight reduction. The walls of all entrances and exits in OBIAL conical silos are verified from galvanized sheet. Due to its structure of solid conical base as an unusual foundation. OBIAL offers its customers its conical silos suffering from weight and with a train starting from 2.11 meters to 10.83 meters.

Flat Silos

Realizing that high-quality production can only be achieved with specialized personnel, modern production techniques and fully automated production, OBIAL zinc coated steel silos and conveying equipment are designed by our product development/design department to meet all grain storage and production requirements accordingly. The high-quality zinc coated steel sheets used in the production of silos are resistant to 450 MPa and are corrosion resistant. The specially manufactured steel sheets used in the production of our silos have a zinc coating standard of 450 g/m2 and 350 g/m2. The zinc coating ratio changes according to customer requirements. OBIAL offers different silo options, including flat bottom and conical silos, ranging from 4.51 m to 31.60 m in diameter. To be able to carry vertical loads on the silo, vertical suspension supports are installed on the silo roof to achieve maximum strength. OBIAL vertical suspension supports optimally distribute the pressure exerted by the grain in the silo on the silo side walls above the silo bottom. To ensure maximum strength in all connections in OBIAL steel silos, Dacromate 500Acoated bolts, grade 8,8, are used. To make the silos airtight and water-proof, special sealing elements are used on the metal sheets on the silo frame and on the upper roof connections. There are secure access doors that can be easily opened and closed on the second floor, and observation covers on the roofs of all OBIAL silos. The access door to the silo consists of two layers; the outer layer consists of a single piece of zinc-coated sheet, the inner layer consists of two doors placed one on top of the other. If the grain filling level in the silo rises above the access door on the silo side wall, the observation cover on the roof allows access to the silo. In all OBIAL silos, there are internal ladders to enter the silo, external ladders in the form of a safety cage to reach the silo observation cover on the outside of the silo, and a platform for rest. There are double handrails and safety roof ladders on the roofs to be able to reach the highest point of the silo starting from the eaves. OBIAL silo roofs are among the strongest silo roofs in the world. OBIAL silo roofs are designed to withstand the loads from the overhead conveying equipment, snow loads, wind loads and the weight of temperature cables. The 30 degree slope of the silo roofs ensures an optimal filling level for the silos. To enhance the strength and durability of the upper roofs of the wide grain silos, they are designed in the form of cages using special sectional profiles. The strength of the silo roof is maximized thanks to this design. The temperature control system used in OBIAL silos allows us to identify hot spots and insect activities, freeing our customers from re-establishing the grain conditions on the screen. OBIAL temperature control system consists of temperature cables, temperature sensors installed inside the cables to measure grain temperature, and portable or fixed temperature monitors. There are special steel ropes inside the temperature cables, which protect the cables from elongation. The temperature control system is aligned with PLC to allow the grain temperature inside the silos to be controlled via PLC display.

Distributor

Opial distributors made of sheet metal and coated including magnesite with profiles are used in distributing the grains, located under the front head of the elevator; thanks to their insulated structure they prevent strong outflow to the outside. UHMW 1000 material is used in the places where the grains come into contact with the distributor body, which prevents wear caused by friction. Agent and nuts are used in all joints of their distributors. The grain flow path can be determined in the direction as requested by the key. Opial Opial distributors are produced with high capacity with the ability to withstand and discharge and remove shirts. Creating disassembly and assembly of the motor and sensors on the alternative in case of any option. In addition, there is a cover on the distributor body to monitor, follow the grain flow and detect any defect or connection that may occur in the distributor pipes. Chain Conveyor

Conveying grain horizontally or inclined, economically and without causing any damage to the transported material. Opial Chain Conveyors Opial Chain Conveyors offers its customers chain conveyors in different sizes and capacities. Conveyor capacities vary from 20 t/h to 1000 t/h. The chains at Opial are specially designed and robust, to enable them to withstand the toughest working conditions. Plastic grain abrasive wings reduce the friction between the conveyor body and the chain. The plastic conveyor wings are made of derlin and are fixed together using nuts and then mounted on the conveyor chain. Plastic derlin pulleys distributed along the conveyor body provide easy movement of the chains. The conveyor chain gears are made of steel and are reinforced using carbon. Compared to welded conveyors which consist of one part, Opial chain conveyors which are connected together using nuts are more economical in terms of maintenance and installation. Opial chain conveyors, specially manufactured for product haulage drilling, ensure efficient and damage-free grain transportation.

Elevator

Opial bucket elevators provide economical vertical grain transportation. These elevators are specially designed for grain transportation with the most difficult working conditions in mind. All Opial elevator systems, the main shaft, the drive unit head and the tension unit are made of Magnelis ZM310 sheet. Opial plastic buckets are used for vertical grain transportation. The motor assembly (IP 55) located at the top of the elevator system has a feature that prevents water from entering the motor, so there is no need to put a cover on the top of the elevator. The movement is transmitted from the motor to the reducer by a V-belt pulley. The reducer is directly connected to the drive shaft. There are two observation windows on the front of the drive unit to facilitate control and maintenance. The front of the inner part of the elevator is covered with a special derrin material and rubber to ensure that the transported grain is transported to the distributor without any damage. The roller at the front is also coated with rubber to prevent the belt from slipping and moving out of place. The lower section of the elevator also contains two windows to facilitate access and control of the product, and there are two sliding doors at the bottom to facilitate the cleaning process. With the expansion units located on the right and left; To avoid any weakness or malfunction in the effort during long working periods in the summer, these units prevent the expansion of the belt. To prevent any malfunction in the elevator system when entering the grain, the inner cylinder is covered with a layer of steel iron to prevent the grain from reaching the cylinder.

Spiral Conveyor

The screw conveyor located under the silo helps to transport the grain out of the silo. Thanks to the gates located along the screw system and the control mechanism of these covers, the conveying process is carried out safely. When the central gate is open, the control center does not allow any other gates to open. The sub-gates open as soon as the grain flow from the main gate is finished. The production of the screw conveyor parts is made of galvanized sheet metal. Special cast steel suspension bearings are used in the connection process of the screw plates. The power is transmitted directly from the gear motor to the drive shaft of the screw via the chain coupling system. In this way, the screw works more efficiently and safely. The electrical connection to the plate is carried out safely via a pipe channel system.

Cleaning Systems

With the population increase around the world and as a result of this increase, and consequently the expansion of agricultural areas for grains, which are essential for human life. With this expansion, the need to store these grains has become necessary in the long and short term. Since these grains are not free of impurities in the place where these grains are stored after harvest, they must be cleaned of these impurities and foreign materials, such as grass, stone and sand. In the past, this process was done using sieves or nets manually, and this process was tiring and took several days, but with the development of modern technology, this system has been developed to clean tons of grains per hour. This system is called the pre-cleaning unit. This unit consists of 5 main parts. They are: the cylinder body, the cylinder, and the upper chamber. It has high resistance to corrosion. 10.9 quality screws are used for fastening. The screws and nuts used have high endurance. A black metal plate of type St 37 is used for the cylinder and the joints of the parts are connected to each other by welding. In order to increase the resistance against corrosion, it is coated with two layers of primer and then coated with a layer of colored paint.

Working Principle

The product is conveyed by the elevator which is one of the parts of the silo to the suction funnel located in the upper chamber (suction) and then to the rotating cylinder located in the main chamber. During the passage of the product inside the cylinder, dust and light foreign materials are drawn by the horizontal fan installed behind the upper chamber and then these drawn materials are transferred to the upper cylinder located next to the horizontal fan. In order to carry out the sorting process of the product in the rotating cylinder, the appropriate inclination angle is given in order to smoothly move the product horizontally and pass through the sieves wrapped around it. The intermediate sections located in the main casing prevent the product from mixing with the impurities and foreign materials that have been removed, so that the product is transferred to the main conveyor through the lower discharge eyes.

Ventilation system

The ventilation channels and systems are designed and produced according to the capacity of the silos and the materials to be stored in them, and these channels are installed in the concrete during the construction of the ground foundations of the silo. These channels are covered with galvanized sheets and are specially perforated according to the properties of the product to be stored. In order to ventilate the different materials stored in the silos, OBIAL uses fans with different capacities produced by its company ALFAN depending on the capacity of the silo and the properties of the materials to be stored in it. OBİAL ventilation chimneys allow the dust and pesticides formed inside the silo to easily exit. These chimneys have an inclined structure and have an iron curtain from the nozzle. These curtains prevent birds and foreign materials from entering the silo. Thanks to their inclined structure, they prevent rainwater and snow from entering the silo. When it is necessary to remove larger amounts of air from the silos, OBIAL roof fans with a special design are used. OBIAL also provides solutions for horizontal storage systems by manufacturing mobile tunnel ventilation ducts made of galvanized metal sheets, which are corrugated in a way that allows them to be easily combined with each other.

Control Systems

OBIAL uses the most reliable and advanced PLC-SCADA software and manual MCC panels from OBI-Elektrik for monitoring the system used in the system. MCC panels are used in small grain storage systems, while OBIAL uses PLC-SCADA in large engineering fields. These panels do not require you to be able to operate the MCC panels manually, while PLC-SCADA control and replacement are required during the system. OBIAL prefers high-quality brands such as Siemens, Schneider Electric (Telemecanique) and Phoenix Contact, which are world-renowned in the field of product and switchboard manufacturing in all PLC-SCADA and MCC control systems. The PLC-SCADA control system provided by OBIAL gives management the ability to choose a single target.
Thanks to the software specially prepared for each grain storage system, the errors that the buyer could target are calculated in order to avoid them and completely protect the system.
This system moves the huge throne that is supposed to speak in the control panels and devices. It is operated at the exact location of the fault in order to be able to intervene as quickly as possible.
